Stop cutting trees to make space for new buildings. Instead use the abandonned, unused buildings in the city centre for new appartments to keep the city centre alive and interesting. Protect small patches of green from destruction to help fight climate change, address the problem of heat island in the summer, improve air quality, protect urban biodiversity and ensure green space for inhabitants to enjoy. Even small green spaces in the neighberhoodmake a big difference for the quality of life. Please protect them and dont allow cutting trees to make space for new investments.
Brussel versteent. Tussen 2003 en 2016 is 15% van het groen in Brussel verloren gegaan en er is geen enkele reden om aan te nemen dat dit magisch omgekeerd is vanaf 2017. Creëer meer (kleine) groene ruimtes, plant bomen voor schaduw en vergroting leefbaarheid (zeker met de steeds betere zomers) en zet in op behoud biodiversiteit (bijv. zaaien wilde bloemen, bekoorlijkheden vogels etc.). Fijn voor mens en dier!
